What Readers are Saying...
I'm thrilled to find out A House Full of Hope got 4-1/2 Stars from RT Book Reviews Magazine! Here's the review from reviewer Leslie McKee:

A House Full of Hope (4 1/2) Missy Tippens: Mark Ryker is returning home to hopes of gaining his father's forgiveness. He longs for redemption and peace. Hannah Hughes, single mother of four, is renting Mark's family home, while his father lives in the garage apartment. Mark wants to help his father with repairs and finances, but his father does not want Mark's charity. Due to Mark's past, Hannah's mother wants her to stay as far away from Mark as possible. Will Mark be able to make amends with his father and his past? Themes of forgiveness, acceptance and overcoming stubborness highlight this heartwarming tale.

Review written by reader, Julie Hilton Steele:

A House Full of Hope By Missy Tippens

Prodigal son romances are tricky.  Rarely is an author brave enough to flesh out a tale where an entire town and a heroine are hard pressed to forgive a hero.  Missy Tippens has bravely tackled the theme and produced a fine tale of forgiveness and love hard won.  A real page turner, A House Full of Hope is also full of those moments when the reader goes, “I’ve done that” or “I’ve thought the same thing.”  Realistically paced and detailed, this romance is also as an excellent lesson in the difficulty of making a change in one’s life when others are not willing to see the change.

Mark Ryker, a successful businessman, returns home to make amends and is immediately faced with the obstacle of a small town not willing to forgive his wild youth or the damage he has done to others.  Tippens has so accurately captured the whispers and grudges of the townsfolk, as well as Mark’s sorrow and the actions of his few defenders, the reader gets behind him from the get-go.  The heroine, Hannah Hughes, is not as easily persuaded to be sympathetic and forgiving, especially since her family’s welfare is at stake.  Her harried, protective mama persona had this reader sympathizing with her even when she seemed to give Mark too hard a time.  To the author’s credit, Tippens does not write a story of “cheap grace.”.  The difficult obstacles with no easy solutions make the romance all that more enjoyable to read and definitely sigh-worthy at the end.

Even though Faith thinks she’s content being just friends, spending time with him and Chelsea starts to feel like a fresh start at having a family. And their love may be the answer to everyone’s prayers.

Review from RT Book Reviews (Romantic Times)

RT Rating

A FAMILY FOR FAITH (4) by Missy Tippens: Widower Gabe Reynolds is not ready for his 12-year-old daughter, Chelsea, to grow up. His divorced neighbor, Faith Hagin, is still struggling to accept that having her son go to live with his father was the best thing for him. Ready for some independence, Chelsea recruits Faith to help her find her dad a girlfriend. However, Gabe sees his deceased wife as the only one for him   — blinding him to the second chance   at love that God has placed right under his nose. A lovely, though angst-ridden romance with two people who must accept the past and let it go, before they can move into a future blessed by the love God has for them.

RT Book Reviews - FOUR STARS

A FOREVER CHRISTMAS (4) by Missy Tippens.  Home in Magnolia, Ga., from Nashville for the holidays, teacher Sarah Radcliffe is also recovering from the loss of one of her kindergarteners to cancer.  Directing the Christmas play puts her in close contact with Gregory Jones, the man who broke her heart and is now a divorced father of two small boys.  As she becomes involved with his sons, she once again faces her parents' disapproval of Gregory.  Will the past repeat itself?  Tippens' solid story shows how parental love can be misguided when God is not consulted and that He will make all things work for good in His own time.
